Go straight at the problems and you have to guard against becoming a choir-preacher, a scold, ham-hands, Stuart Smalley or worse. Take the oblique approach and risk losing everybody or worse (viz. the outcry that "Chicks Dig War" was anti-feminist!).

Say nothing and watch as your time and world decay. (Default option only if you aren't actively feeling the effects of other people's anxiety or psychosis.)
