On the advice of my wife, many friends, and the little voice the intuitionists call "Norman," I took the weekend off from reading poetry.

Regrettably, that meant skipping this event. As for the poetry nominees, I'm pleased to see the Fried and the Seidel there. If Snodgrass can make the ticket, though, there is a lot of work to do -- no more weekends off.
