Let's see. Yesterday I responded to a tag from Ron.

If I'd checked Stephen Burt's blog sooner I would have planned to be in Philadelphia in time to hear his talk on the excellent Laura Kasischke. Ah well. Art museums instead, then, and maybe I'll bump into old friends.

I did get to read Drew's piece on Tony Conrad.

Enjoyed very much my wife's synopsis of the Johnny Cash legend in this new anthology.

Started to look at this post on the cognitive and affective aspects of humor.

Came a month late to this news about redundancy in the genome.

I admit I didn't know what to expect when the poetry in the Georgia Review changed stewardship, but the new direction -- a long faux ballad about a plastic surgeon genital specialist, lots of Jill Rosser and Bob Hicok -- the new tilt at least appears to be toward a post-NPR weirdness, away from... I can hardly remember what the GR used to be like, actually. Oops.
