Probably the coolest thing at yesterday's game was when, before the 7th inning stretch, Carlos Delgado came out and said that in honor of his partial namesake William Carlos Williams he wanted to read a poem:
The crowd at the ball game
is moved uniformly

by a spirit of uselessness
which delights them --
