Is Tom Hanks really a comedic talent for the ages, or did Jerry Seinfeld just lower expectations so far that it feels like an accomplishment for Hanks to make it through Big without goofing on the set-up.

If they made it now, the Elizabeth Perkins character would have to totally ham up her concern whether Josh Baskin is gay.

Oh wait, they did make it now.
