Why would we go there? I just don't see what anyone else is supposed to find aesthetically stimulating about being a connoisseur of yourself. Transparency, as I see it, is mentioning the social facts of publication -- showing gratitude to the people who help create the work and sustain the world.

As for quantity, quality, and time sorting it all out, I will mention J-Clo's line the other night that "a continued to equal a, but only as a kind of courtesy."
