Show's Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.

Didn't even see the Eleanor Lerman book from Sarabande last year. I guess I get what the judge likes about her work -- a little naughtiness, a little resigned moralizing. Let he who is without etc.

Speaking of which, in one of the very few nice touches in The Nativity, after fretting that he won't have anything to teach his divine Ward, and while passing the Mall-at-the-Temple in Jerusalem, Joseph remarks that "It was meant to be a Holy Place." Oedipal psychology, meet midrash.
