Fall's coming, time to break out the sweaters and the kneepads: Seth advance blogs the new BAP.

I notice Pubs Wkly is betting on Collins's introduction causing controversy. I wonder whether a genuine controversy in poetryland would make any difference to anyone at all -- I mean, the Georgia series was nuked, Zoo Press made off with its entry fees, and most poets believe manuscripts still need Magic Phone Calls to be turned into perfect bound books, entry fees or no. Who knew De Man's piece on literature and the permanent crisis would get its "second time as farce" in re poetry publishing politics.

I mean, damn! why does anybody waste their time worrying about this pissant sh*t. It makes it a lot harder to have feelings of exaltation when you have to inventory the petty slights of people who know better and don't care. Global temps up, independent military action is the norm, decent schools and medicine cost every waking minute, and the middling powergrab of a bad-affect lifer have taken up how much of your righteousness? Get beautiful already! World needs it.
